   Complete Merovingian buckle with a rare representation of a human face.
   The plate is decorated with geometric ornamentation. The human face, stylised as a nose and two eyes, is visible between the three rivets.

   The buckle pin maybe from another buckle plate of the same period.
   Very good conservation.

   Material : Bronze, nice dark green patina
   Origin : France
   Provenance : French auction house
   Period : 7 - 8 c.A.D.
   Dimensions : Length : 8 cm
